The UNB Saint John Seawolves took on the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Rams Sunday in ACAA women's volleyball.
The Seawolves came out strong in the first set to win 25-9. The Rams found their game in the second set but the Seawolves were able to hold them off and win 25-21. The Seawolves completed the three game sweep by taking the third set 25-16.
Dayna Alexander led the Seawolves with 8 kills and 10 digs. Madison Hartos added 5 kills and 10 digs while Taylor McGrattan had 19 assists and Meagan McCrea-Kosak finished with 13 digs. Montana Meyer had 5 services aces to complete the Seawolves attack.
Thea McLachlin came up big for the Rams with 8 kills and 7 digs. Yukie Xie had 11 digs and Sam Nichols had 9 assists and 6 digs.
The Seawolves improved to 12-8 which leaves them in fourth place while the Rams dropped to 2-17.
In upcoming matches, the Rams host the University of King's College Blue Devils Wednesday, February 14 at 7:00 PM while the Seawolves host the league-leading Mount Saint Vincent Mystics Sunday, February 18 at 11:00 AM.
