Dragons squeeze out win vs. Chargers

Following a five-set barnburner between two teams looking for their first win of the season, it was the Dragons of l'Université Sainte-Anne that beat the Crandall University Chargers three sets to two. The scores were 24-26, 25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Leading the way for the Chargers was Janelle Blanchette with 14 kills & 7 digs and Melora Cook with 8 kills & 15 digs, while Jana Deschenes contributed 24 assists in the loss. Pacing the Dragons, Mekayla Leger had 12 kills & 9 digs, Rachelle LeBlanc with 6 kills & 7 digs, while Marie-Pier Grant dished out 25 assists in the win.

Up next for the Chargers are the Mount Allison Mounties, as these two teams face off in Sackville, NB on Wednesday, January 15th at 7PM. The Dragons will then host the Mounties on Saturday, January 18th at 4PM.
