The Universite Sainte Anne Dragons defeated the Crandall Chargers 3-2 in ACAA Women's Volleyball action on Sunday in Moncton. The Chargers surged to a first set win, but it was a back and forth battle the rest of the way with the Dragons pulling away in the 5th set to earn the win. Both teams featured several players from the Moncton area with the Dragons led by Marie-Pier Grant of Shediac, Makayla Leger or Cap-Pele and Patricia Breau of Riverview. The Chargers were led by Melora Cook of Hillsborough, Jana Deschenes of Dieppe and Janelle Blanchette of Cap-Pele. The Dragons are in action again on Saturday when they travel to Halifax to face the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics while the Chargers host the Mount Allison Mounties on Friday in their Bell Lets Talk, CCAA Make Some Noise for Mental Health match.
