The Mount Mystics hosted Holland College in their second game of the season. Although it was a close fought game in each set, the Holland College Hurricanes came out victorious, winning three straight sets over the Mystics. With only a two-point margin win in each set (27-25, 29-27, and 28-26), Holland College was able to rely on their strong offense and tough serving to win the match. Ava Beisal of the Hurricanes recorded nine kills out of the middle, with outside hitters Sam Gerbig, and Jenna O'Neill each recording six kills respectively. The Hurricanes setter, Shayla Reding also contributed to the win with four service aces and twenty-four assists.
The Mystics were led by veterans Nicole Rector and Lis Rhymes. Rector recorded six kills from the middle and showed her experience and leadership throughout the match. Rhymes earned five service aces, three digs, and eighteen assists on the match. It was an exciting game to watch, as it went point for point, and Holland College was able to take the match 3-0.
