CHURCH POINT, N.S.: The Universite Sainte-Anne Dragons hosted the UNBSJ Seawolves in Church Point on Sunday afternoon at the Marcel-R.-Comeau Sports Centre at Université Sainte-Anne.

The Dragons fed off the energy of the large hometown crowd and defeated the Seawolves 3-0 in very close sets and in a back and forth affair. Sets were as follows: 25-22, 25-22 & 25-23. 

For the Seawolves, Emily Robichaud  lead the offense with 15 kills, Jane Campbell added 26 assists and Patricia Breau managed 12 digs. For Sainte-Anne, Amy Arsenault lead with 13 kills and 15 digs while Jacqueline Bright chipped in with 21 assists. 

With the loss, UNBSJ now has a 7-8 record while the Dragons win their first game since October 30, 2022 against Mount Allison and improve to 3-12.  The Seawolves host STU Tommies on Friday February 10th 2023 at 6 PM while the Dragons host UKC on Saturday February 11th 2023 at 2 PM.

Les Dragons gagnent à domicile dimanche après-midi

CHURCH POINT, N.-É. : Les Dragons de l'Université Sainte-Anne ont accueilli les Seawolves de l'UNBSJ à Church Point, dimanche après-midi, au Centre sportif Marcel-R.-Comeau de l'Université Sainte-Anne.

Les Dragons ont profité de l'énergie de la grande foule locale et ont battu les Seawolves 3-0 dans des manches très serrées. Le pointage des manches étaient les suivantes: 25-22, 25-22 & 25-23. 

Pour les Seawolves, Emily Robichaud a mené l'attaque avec 15 attaques, Jane Campbell a ajouté 26 passes et Patricia Breau a réussi 12 récupérations. Pour Sainte-Anne, Amy Arsenault a mené l'attaque avec 13 attaques et 15 récupérations, tandis que Jacqueline Bright a réussi 21 passes.

Avec la défaite, UNBSJ a maintenant une fiche de 7-8 tandis que les Dragons gagnent leur premier match depuis le 30 octobre 2022 contre Mount Allison et s'améliorent à 3-12.  Les Seawolves accueillent les Tommies de STU le vendredi 10 février 2023 à 18h tandis que les Dragons accueillent UKC le samedi 11 février 2023 à 14h.
