The Holland Hurricanes took care of the Mount Allison Mounties in three straight games.
The 'Canes came out firing and took the first set, backed by some strong serving from Jenna O'Neill, Kateia Barenaba and Ella Hickey. Holland College took the set 25-7.
The Mounties started the second game strong and started to pull away from the Hurricanes but the rallied to tie the game at 17-17. The teams remained tied at 23-23 but again some key serving led to a 26-24 game for the 'Canes.
The final game saw the 'Canes take it 25-19 with graduating player Kateia Barenaba serving out the last three points, very fitting for her last home game for the Hurricanes. She had 4 serving aces in the match.
Mt A was led by Emilie Botma who had 7 kills and 2 digs.
Holland was led by Jenna O'Neill with 10 kills, 3 service aces and 6 digs. Morgan White had 9 kills and 6 digs.
Holland (11-4) are on the road to MSVU Sunday February 12th.
Mount Allison(9-7) play host to UNBSJ on February 12th.
