UKC Wins Big Road Game

The University of Kings College Blue Devils came into the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics gym to fight and to remain in first place standings and they came out on top with a 3 sets to 1 win.

The Mystics took the first set 25-22 after coming back from a 5-point deficit. Blue Devil's Maya Lees and Kaitlyn Legualt lead UKC's offence while the Mystics offensive leaders were evenly spread between the pins. Both teams made some impressive scrappy plays that continued into the second set. The score of set two was a drastic turnaround from the first, with UKC taking the set 25-15. There was an uncharacteristically low amount of blocking from both sides leading Maya Lees to hit at .500% and Kaitlyn Legualt right behind at .455%. On the Mystics side Marcy Macniel and Cathrine Macphail led in kills and Cela MacLellan started to make her presence known at the net.

Set three brought a similar outcome for the Blue Devils with a score of 25-13. Across the board the kill leaders remained the same. The two teams had some long hard-fought rallies that kept landing in favor of the Blue Devils. The fourth and final set saw the same fate as the last two sets, ending with a score of 25-16 for UKC. The Blue Devils continued to dominate offensively while both teams laid it all on the floor. The result of the game moves the Mystics record to 10-3 and the Blue Devils stay in first place with 12-1.
