MSVU jumped out to an early first quarter lead but in the second the Mystics shooting went cold while at the same time the Hurricanes heated up that dissolved the 5 point lead the Mystics had and gave the Hurricanes a 15 point cushion going into half time. After a back and forth affair in the third the sharp shooting and ability to get to the rim allowed the Canes to close the game out with a 22 point victory to open up their season with a win and spoil the Mystics home opener.  The Mystics travel to Crandall on Nov 9th to play the Chargers and the Hurricanes will host the Seawolves from UNBSJ on the 9th as well.
