Mystics start 2020 with win

The Mount Mystics men team started off the new year with a win over the visiting Tommies from St.Thomas in Fredericton. The game was a tale of four quarters with the Mystics owning the first and third quarters while the Tommies kept the game close by winning the second and fourth. The Mystics used an efficient inside out game by scoring 46 points in the paint and also adding 8 threes. The Tommies shot half their field goal attempts from behind the arc and only connected at a 33 % rate. The Mystics also outscored the Tommies at the foul line 17-10. The Mystics were led by 4th year shooting guard Brady Blakney with 15 points, Liam Mitchell and Tario Sands both had 13 and Campbell Colpitts added 10 off the bench. Sands was top rebounder for th eMystics with 9. The Tommies Geoffrey Lavoie was top scorer with 21 while Daemen Hemphill had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Adam Dervisevic and Michael Otto both had 13 points. 

The Mystics resume league play Saturday January 18th at home vs the UNBSJ Seawolvs from Saint ohn, NB. Game time is 4:00pm.
