The St. Thomas Tommies withstood a late charge by the Crandall Chargers to complete the regular season sweep of the host Chargers in ACAA Men's Basketball action on Saturday in Moncton. The Chargers used second half surge overcome a 9 point deficit in the second half, only to see the Tommies pull away in the final minutes to post an 88-76 win. The Tommies were led by Almin Dervisevic's 20 points with Geoffrey Lavoine chipping in 11 rebounds. The Chargers were led by Dan Maxwell with 23 points and Robert Pillow IV pulled 13 rebounds. The Tommies resume league play next Sunday when they travel to Sackville to face the Mount Allison Mounties while the Chargers host the Mounties in a Sunday afternoon game tomorrow at Crandall.
