The UNBSJ Seawolves hosted the MSVU Mystics in men's basketball Saturday in Saint John.  The Seawolves hoped to gain ground on the Mystics and did their best to make that happen as it was a close throughout the entire game. Things were looking up for the Seawolves who took a 39-36 lead at the half. However, the Mystics would not be denied as they beat the Seawolves 74-71 in a nail-biting finish.

Dawson Berze-Butts scored 19 points to lead the Mystics. Joel McCrossin (15), Will Spaulding (13j and Mo Abuar (12) also contributed to the balanced Mystics attack. Adam Lambert had the hot hand for the Seawolves pouring in a game high 22 points. Tanner Hoyt added 16 and Jack Fury-Miller had 15.

The Mystics improved to 3-6 and moved into a 5th place tie with UKC while the Seawolves fell to 0-9 and stand in 7th place. The Seawolves host the UKC Blue Devils tomorrow at 1:00pm while the Mystics travel to Fredericton to take on the STU Tommies at 3:00pm.
