The Hurricanes hosted the Saint Thomas Tommies men's volleyball team at the MacMillan Center for Community Engagement on Sunday afternoon.
With the two teams deadlocked in the standings at 8-5, this game was shaping up to be a banger.
The Hurricanes started the match well and took the first set 25-21. The visiting team quickly grabbed hold of the momentum taking the next two sets.
The Hurricanes held strong a battled back to take the last two sets 25-16, 15-11.
Carson Gray and Izumo Euda led the Canes attack with 17 and 13 kills respectively.
5th year senior Marcus Lapointe, playing his last home game had 15 digs.
Tommies were led by Mason Brewsters 18 kills.
These two will be matching up in the ACAA semi-finals in a few weeks, it should be a doozy.
UNBSJ will be hosting ACAA volleyball Championships.
