The UNB Saint John Seawolves and University of King's College Blue Devils met in ACAA women's basketball action Saturday in Saint John.
The Blue Devils led 31-22 at the half and were never really threatened as they protected the lead throughout the second half to win the game 61-51.
Chloe Oxner had 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals to lead the Blue Devils attack. Candace Reynolds added 11points and 3 rebounds. Jessica Simm led both teams with an outstanding 16 rebounds and she also had 4 steals to match Kallie MacKinnon and Olivia Pappin.
The Seawolves were led Kelsey Simon who had 10 points, 9 rebounds and a game-high 7 steals. Megan Baisley added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
The Blue Devils improved to 5-8 which leaves them in fifth place while the Seawolves dropped to 2-10 and still hang on to the sixth and final playoffs spot.
The teams meet again tomorrow in the second game of a weekend doubleheader.
