Firth and Osterlin Captures 1st Place Finish at ACAA Meet

 

On Saturday (Oct 16) Crandall Chargers played host for the third meet in the 2021 ACAA Cross Country running schedule at Mapleton Park in Moncton, NB.

 

In the overall placing on the men’s side MSVU’s Mitchell Firth captured first place in the field of 24 runners with a time of 26:57 on a fast 8 KM course. Mount Allison continued their dominated team showing capturing first place with 21 pts followed by Crandall Chargers (33 pts), Dal AC (39 pts) and Holland Hurricanes (43 pts).

On the women side Mounties continued to solidly their supremacy as they finished with three runners in the top four positions in the field of 24.

This allowed Mounties to capture their third title in a row with 13 pts, followed by Université Sainte-Anne (38 pts), Dal AC (39 pts) and MSVU with 46 pts.

Overall finishers included: MTA’s Kona Osterlin capturing first with a time of 22:09 on the 6 KM course. Second place went to fellow runner MTA Tegan Stewart (22:16) followed by Crandall’s Mary MacLean (23:14) rounding out the top 3.
