Female Athletes of the Week, November 5th, 2019

Grace Anderson  
Mount Saint Vincent University Cross Country
Program: Bachelor Science, Nutrition  
Year: 1st   
Hometown: Trenton, NS 

Grace ran a perfectly executed race at this past weekend's ACAA Cross Country Championship Race in Brookvale, PEI. Placing 1st with a time of 27:45, this was a strong performance over the 6km distance and a big part of the MSVU team win. Grace broke the course down into sections and progressively pushed the pace, ultimately winning first place in the ACAA Women’s  Cross Country Running race. Grace also received the honour of ACAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the year.

Lauren was a key member of the UNB Reds’ 5th Consecutive ACAA Women’s Rugby Championship on Saturday afternoon November 2nd.  In this highly contested game, Lauren contributed offensively with two tries for the Reds. Her steady defensive play throughout the championship provided a stabilizing affect against the continuous pressure  of STU. In addition, her quiet leadership style offered team mates direction in a focused manner
