ACAA Men's Basketball

The Mount Allison Mounties defeated the UNB Saint John Seawolves 96-70 to win the 18th Annual Kingston Cup in ACAA Men's Basketball at UNB Saint John Saturday. 

The Seawolves held strong in the first quarter but the Mounties were quick to respond and went into the half with a 41-33 lead. The Mounties really turned it on in the second half showing why they are one of the lead contenders in the ACAA. They scoring 55 points as the Seawolves finally wilted under the barrage of pressure.

Thomas LeGallais was the top scorer for the Mounties with 30 points. Bradley Sanford added 16 points and Rodreke Joseph had 13. Sanford also had 8 rebounds to lead the Mounties in that category.

Jacob Vickers led the Seawolves with 15 points and 9 rebounds while Keegan Gray wasn't too far behind with 14 points. 

The Mounties moved to 9-1 while the Seawolves now sit at 2-5. The Seawolves travel to DALAC tomorrow, January 14 to take on the Rams at 4:30 while the Mounties play at Crandall University Wednesday night January 17 at 8:00pm. This will a battle of the first place teams.
