The St. Thomas Tommies men's basketball team used a fourth period surge to down the Crandall Chargers 78-71 in ACAA action on Saturday in Moncton.  Michael Otoo led the Tommies with 16 points second half points off the bench, helping to erase a 10-point Chargers lead with 5 minutes remaining in the game. The Chargers were led by Colby Lawrence with 21 points and 8 rebounds.The Tommies are currently in third place in the league remain within striking distance of the league leaders and are back in action next Sunday when they travel to Saint John to face the UNBSJ Timberwolves. Crandall sits in fourth in the league standings and continue their league play next Saturday when they travel to Halifax to face the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics.
