Hurricanes remain in first place

On Sunday versus Mount Allison, the 'Canes built up a 22-10 lead after a quarter and would lead 48-23 at the half. The Mounties cut into the lead in the third as the Hurricanes entered the final quarter up 71-52. The 'Canes would go on to earn the 98-79 win.

 

McMullen led all Hurricanes scorers with 23 points with Holness right behind him with 21. McMullen added two rebounds and two assists while Holness had five rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

 

Corless added 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals while Thompson came off the bench with a 14-point, 16-rebound double-double while Marc Hofer added 11 points off the bench as well.

 

With the two weekend victories, the 'Canes take sole possession of first place in the conference with a 12-3 record, just ahead of the Mounties who are now in second at 11-4.
