The UNB Saint John Seawolves and St. Thomas Tommies squared off in ACAA men's soccer action at the Canada Games Stadium. The Tommies led 1-0 at the half on a goal by Kyle Yearwood before Thomas Barbara tied the game early in the second half off a corner kick. The Tommies responded to grab a 2-1 lead when Kyle Yearwood scored his second goal of the game on a terrific shot from outside the 18 years box. The Seawolves tied it again when Tinodaishe Mhlango knocked the ball in the net during a goal line scramble with three minutes left in regulation time.
The Seawolves outshot the Tommies 11-7 and had five corners to the Tommies one. Both teams now have a record of 0-1-2.
Next up, the Tommies host Crandall University Wednesday, September 20 and both the Tommies and Seawolves play on the road September 23 and 24 against Dalhousie Agricultural College and Holland College.
