MSVU tops Tommies

MSVU takes over sole possession of first place in the ACAA with a convincing win over the visiting Tommies from St.Thomas. The Mystics shoot a whopping 48% from three point line making 13 of their 27 attempts and 8 different players making a shot from behind the arc. The Mystics pressure defense was also a factor holding the Tommies to only 48 shot attempts for the game in large part due to forcign 36 turnovers. The Mystics were led by third year player Kelsey Crocker who played in her first game back from an injury who made 4 threes, scoring 16 points. The Mystics also received double didget scoring from Julia Kokonis and Kelsey McGrath both with 13 and off the bench Kathereine Khorovets scored 11 and Maria Rodrigues with 8. Leading the way for the Tommies was 4th year guard Bridget Frazee with 16 also making 4 thress and Christina Richardson with 9. The Mystics will be back on their home floor against UNBSJ on Saturday, game time 2pm.day
