CHARLOTTETOWN - The Holland Hurricanes (9-3, won-lost) rebounded from a Saturday loss to the Mystics (10-2) with a gritty 82-74 victory in Sunday's affair at the Centre for Community Engagement.

Aki Kobayashi picked up a season-high 25 points on 10-20 shooting to lead the Hurricanes offense. The effort was Kobayashi's third game with more than 20 points this season. Courtney Cain Nordin chipped in with 19 points and seven rebounds, Ashley Plaggenhoef added 16 points and seven boards, and Kassie Little was one point shy of her fourth double of the season with nine points and 13 rebounds.

For the Mystics, Nikki Arsenault was a staple at both ends of the court as she netted 16 points and took in 17 rebounds, including 12 defensive boards. Kelsey McGrath also had 16 points, while Maria Rodrigues added 14 points off the bench.

The Hurricanes led 21-17 after the first, they trailed 48-40 at the half, and the two sides were equal at 61 points apiece at the start of the fourth quarter.

The Mystics have two games this week starting with a Friday night visit to Sackville, NB to take on the Mount Allison University Mounties, and then heading back to Halifax Saturday for a short road trip to take on the University of King's College Blue Devils.

The Hurricanes will enjoy an extended break before a Sunday matchup on the road against the Blue Devils.
