CHARLOTTETOWN - The Holland Hurricanes (11-3, won-lost) breezed past the Crandall Chargers (0-15) 76-37 Friday night at the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement. With the victory, the Hurricanes took over first place in the ACAA standings, a half-game up on both the Mount Saint Vincent University Mystics (10-3) and the St. Thomas University Tommies (10-3).
The Hurricanes are now 7-1 in 2020, and are carrying a three game winning streak.
Sophie Atkinson (12), Courtney Cain Nordin (11) and Ashley Plaggenhoef (10) led the scoring effort for Holland College.
Alexa Rancourt posted a 14 point, 10 rebound performance, her third double-double of the season, to lead the Chargers.
