The MSVU Mystics women's basketball team sarted their season with a home victory over the Holland Hurricanes. Playing their second game in two days the Hurricanes struggled in the first half to keep up with the high tempo pace the Mystics played. The Mystics also hit 6 three pointers int he first half and shot 100% fromt he free throw line on 7 attempts. The second half was more an exchange of baskets between the two teams, however the Hurricanes were able to find their way to the foul line several times on drives to the basket and bonus fouls which helped them cutinto the half time lead. But that was not enough as the Mystics contributions from several players that allowed them to secure the win by 17 points. The Mystics next game will be at home Saturday Nov 5th at 1pm where they host their cross town rivals University of Kings Blue Devils.
