Mystics Recover from Loss

Mystics Recover from Loss

The sting of an early season loss didn't last long as the Mystics were right back on the floor versus the visiting Seawolves from Saint John and came out on top with an 89-46 victory. Leading scorers for MSVU were Nikki Arsenault with 13 followed Amanda Pearcey with 11 and three players all with 10 each, Lily Newberry, Ashleigh Marshall and Victoria Strickland. The Mystics took control of this game early and never relinquished the lead. They hit 9 threes, forced UNBSJ into 31 turn overs, added 14 steals and covered their strong defense into easy conversion points. The Seawolves were led by Bailey Henderson with 17 followed by Laura Prekaj with 10. The Seawolves play again tomorrow versus Mount Allison Mounties while the Mystics have a week to get ready for their 4th road game of the season at Holland College on Saturday November 28th. The Mystics move to 5-1 on the season while the Seawolves fall to 1-5.
