Sunday action in the ACAA Women's play at MSVU matched Mount Allison Mounties, ranked 15th in the country and coming in to the A Garnett Brown Gymnasium with a six game win streak, faced the host Mystics team, also ranked nationally in the 6th spot. Both teams with a 6-1 record in the ACAA and the game entertaining and came down to the wire and the foul line. Early in the game the Mounties took off and built a 10 point lead by the end of the first quarter but the Mystics battled back with a great second quarter on the defensive end, holding MTA to only 11 points and took the lead by six into the break. The third quarter saw the MYstics really struggle from the field and were held to only 2 points in 6 minutes but the Mystics defense also locked in and kept them in the game, but the Mounties were able to  take the lead into the final frame and were looking to close this road win out. A back and forth affair in the fourth saw each team make strong defensive possessins and nothign came easy for either team. The game had an overtime fell to it but it was the clutch shooting by the Mystics from the field and Nikki Arsenault stepped up from the foul line, hitting all 6 of her 4th quarter free throw shot, that sealed the victory. The Mystics also stood strong on defense in the last 3 minutes allowing them to go on a 12-4 run, with a late 3 pointer by the Mounties to make it an interesting final two seconds.
