With no points dropped in the first seven minutes of the game both teams were battling it out to hit the scoreboard. Seawolves' Kate Griffin was able to break the deadlock with a three-point shot. The teams went back and forth, remaining within two – three points of each other.  

Near the end of the first quarter Holland started to pull away with a 19 - 11 lead. Seawolves guard Laura Prekaj, put up two free throws to bring them within 10 points of each other. Despite their best efforts the Seawolves could not break the lead of the Hurricanes. Starting guard, Lauren Armstrong contributed an impressive 24 points and 10 rebounds.  

In the fourth quarter, Holland extended their lead over UNB Saint John. The Seawolves attempted to get back into the game with a time out and a lineup change but it wasn't enough to overtake the Hurricanes who ultimately took the win, final score of 86 - 49.
