Mystics Roll to Victory

Mystics Roll to Victory

The weather has not cooperated with the Mystics this year. Faced with another schedule change the Mystics did not let that phase them as they cruised to a 114-43 win over the visiting UNBSJ Seawolves. In a game that was suppose to play a day earlier and then the Mystics would wrap up their regular season game today vs University of Kings College , both games were pushed by a day and extended the season longer than expected and right on top of the ACAA championships on March 1-3rd at Holland College.

The Mystics jumped on the visitors by scoring 31 first quarter points and followed that up with winning the second quarter by 10 point and went into the break with a 54-28 lead. The third quarter had the Seawolves make a little push back with Kate Griffin hitting on three consecutive baskets but the Mystics responded with a 7-0 run to close the 3rd with a 37 point spread. The last quarter was all Mystics forcing turn overs, transition points, three pointers and foul shots. The quarter score was 37-3 for the Mystics as they cruised to the victory and took sole posession of first place in the ACAA.  Please see box score for team leaders.

Today also marked the final game for three senior Mystics. Nalini Maharaj, Nikki Arsenault and Gwen Ettinger-O'Leary all played were honored before the game in a small ceremony and we would like to say thank you to all three for their dedication and committment to the Msytic program and representing MSVU with pride.

Thank you to all our fans for their support of the Mystics this season.
