The Holland College Hurricanes are off to the ACAA women's volleyball final.
The Canes swept the MTA Mounties 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-13) in Saturdays semifinal. They'll meet the MSVU Mystics Sunday at noon in a title showdown.
The Hurricanes asserted themselves early on their way to claiming the opening set and were able to fight off an increased challenge from the Mounties in the second. Sensing a trip to the final the Hurricans never looked out of control in the third set.
Alice Marques racked up 10 kills for the winners and was named player of the game while Gracie Ferguson provided 28 assists and Samantha Gerbig had three aces. Dana Trainor led the defence with 13 digs.
Rachel McDougall made seven kills as Mount Allison's top player and player of the match and Jasleen Singh chipped in 15 assists, while Melissa McAnsh collected 13 digs.
