The UNB Saint John Seawolves and Universite Sainte Anne squared off in a ACAA women's volleyball match Saturday in Saint John. The Seawolves took control of the match and never looked back, winning the match in three straight games 25-15, 25-14, 25-16
Jenna DeGooyer and Madison Hartos each had eight kills to lead the way. Maria Cummings had 13 assists while Taylor McGrattan added 10 for the winners. DeGooyer and Montana Meyer each contributed two services aces to the cause. Marine Gionet and Tyra Joe had two kills each for the Dragons. Eileen Comeau and Justin Noel added two service aces each for the Dragons while Melina Losier picked up four assists.
The Seawolves improved to a solid 4-1 in the early going of this season while the Dragons fell to 0-6.
The Seawolves host the University of King's College Sunday at 12:00pm while the Dragons travel to Fredericton to take on the St. Thomas Tommies.
