The UNB Saint John Seawolves and University of King's College Blue Devils met in ACAA women's volleyball Sunday. The Seawolves came out strong taking the first set 25-18. The second set was much of the same with the Seawolves winning 25-14. The Seawolves jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead in the third set. The Blue Devils settled down and brought themselves back to within striking distance before the Seawolves regrouped for a 25-21 win in the third game. 

Madison Hartos led the Seawolves with 7 kills and 6 digs. Jenna DeGooyer had 6 kills and 8 digs and Maggie Birney added 6 kills. Maria Cummings had 15 assists to bolster the offensive attack while Olivia Bell had a strong defensive game with 15 digs. 

Kirstin Conrad had a game-high 8 kills and had 9 digs for the Blue Devils who also got 7 kills from Megan Gosse. Abby Hourigan added 5 kills and 11 digs and Isabelle Roach had 16 assists.

The Seawolves picked up six points on the weekend to remain in a tie for second place with St. Thomas at 10-4. The Blue Devils stay in fifth place at 5-6. 

The next game for both teams will be Wednesday, January 24. The Seawolves host STU at 6:00pm while the Blue Devils host Dalhousie Agricultural Campus Rams at 7:00pm.
