Hurricanes enjoy perfect weekend at home

The Rams came out of the gates firing as they took an early 4-1 lead, but the Hurricanes
were able to come back and tie the set at 5.
 
The teams battled back and forth for the rest of the set, but it was the Hurricanes who
were able to take the lead 22-19 and force Rams head coach Carrie Peck to call a timeout. The
Rams were able to get a point after the timeout, but it was the Hurricanes who were able to hold
onto momentum and win the set 25-20.
 
Similar to the start of the first set the Rams came out and went straight to work taking an
8-3 lead. Despite the Hurricanes cutting the lead down to three, the Rams were able to extend it
back to five and lead 17-12. The Rams continued their domination, extending their lead to six
and forcing Hurricanes head coach Criag Hoskins to call a timeout.
 
The Hurricanes came out of the timeout the hotter of the two teams, erasing the Rams
lead and tying the game at 24 and forcing the Rams to call a timeout. The Hurricanes kept on
rolling after the timeout and scored back to back points to win the set 26-24 and take a 2-0 lead
in the game.
 
The Hurricanes carried their momentum into the third set as they took an 5-2 early in the
set. They continued to dominate taking a 17-9 lead and forcing the Rams to call a timeout. The
Rams did come out of the timeout with a bit of momentum, but the Hurricanes were able to hold
them off and win the set 25-15 and the game 3-0.
