The opening set saw both team battle back and forth, but it was the USTA Dragons who had an 8-7 lead. The Hurricanes stormed back forcing two USTA timeouts and taking a 20-13 lead in the set.

            The Hurricanes continued to dominate the set, the managed to hold onto their 7 point lead and win the first set 25-18 and took a a 1-0 lead in the game.

            The Hurricanes domination continued into the second set as they took a 7-3 lead and forced a USTA timeout. The Hurricanes continued to dominate after the time out extending their lead to 9 17-8. The Hurricanes continued to pile it on as they took a 21-9 lead and forced another USTA timeout.

            Despite some fightback from USTA the Hurricanes continued to lead and won the set 25-15 and held a 2-0 in the game.

            The third set saw a battle between the two teams, but USTA broke out to a 10-7 lead. The Hurricanes were able to turn things around as they scored four unanswered points to take a one point lead and force a USTA timeout.

            USTA were better after the timeout as they went on a four point run of their own and took a 14-11 lead and forced a Hurricanes timeout. USTA continued to pile it on as they extended their lead to 4 and forced another Hurricanes timeout.

            USTA continued to dominate the rest of the set as they took the set 25-20 and cut the Hurricanes lead down to 2-1 in the game.

            The teams battled back and forth to start the fourth set, but it was USTA who took a 7-4 lead and forced a Hurricanes timeout. The Hurricanes were able to tie the game back, USTA gained a two point lead and were able to weather the Hurricanes attacks.

            Despite USTA's defense the Hurricanes managed to tie the game up at 20 and force a timeout. After the timeout the teams battled back and forth but the Hurricanes took a one point lead and forced another timeout. The Hurricanes didn't need long after the timeout as they took the set 25-23 and won the game 3-1.
